Despite a tough 28-0 loss to the Douglas Tigers on Friday, the Cason Midgets youth football team did have its share of highlights.
Twice in the first half, Carson defense denied Douglas with a defensive stand when the Tigers drove inside the 10-yard line. Carson also recovered two fumbles. Carson trailed 9-0 at halftime after Douglas scored a touchdown and a safety and the Senators were also hurt by the absence of two starting running backs.
Among the highlights in the second half for Carson was an interception that stopped another Douglas drive. Carson fell to 0-2 and will next play at Fallon on Saturday.
