Crime Report

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 58-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 7:29 a.m.

• A 48-year-old manager was arrested Tuesday in the 1400 Block of Rand Street on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Her bail was set at $632. The deputy suggested she be held until sober.

• Sergio Guerrero, 45, unemployed from Mound House, was arrested at Mills Park on Tuesday on suspicion of gross misdemeanor threats against a public officer, disorderly conduct, having an open container of alcohol and trespassing. His bail was set at $3,071.

• Damon Bradley D'Amico, 44, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony sex-offender failure to register and violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $5,500.

• Michael Joseph Thompson, 43, a laborer from Carson City, was arrested at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Old Hot Springs Road on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and criminal contempt. Bail was set $3,332.

• Ricky Wayne Holik, 46, a construction worker, was arrested at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 10th and Nevada streets on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, theft, and possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $20,500.

n Deputies responded to the following calls:

• Twenty to 30 juveniles beating up one child at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday at Mills Park. Deputies responded and found juveniles but no fight.

• A delivery truck backed into a trailer at the construction area on Hot Springs Road and East College Parkway at 2:16 p.m. Tuesday.

• An accident at East College Parkway and North Roop Street at 6:39 p.m.

• A vehicle versus pedestrian at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Brown Street.

• An employee battered by a customer in the 3000 block of North Roop Street at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday.

• Subject paid for gasoline with $15 "fraudulent dollars," in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East at 4:08 a.m. When confronted by clerk, he claimed his mother gave them to him.

• A female inmate serving a sentence on a drug charge out of Washoe County died from natural causes at 4:56 a.m. Tuesday at Northern Nevada Correctional Center.

• A student was arrested for hitting a teacher at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday at Carson Middle School. The 13-year-old eighth-grader slapped a teacher's hand away.

Lyon County

Deputies responded to the following calls Tuesday:

• Fire at 7:12 a.m. in the 2600 block of East Fourth Street in Silver Springs.

• Accident on Occidental Drive in Mark Twain at 7:39 a.m.

• Residential burglary in the 1000 block Dwight Way in Mark Twain at 7:53 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary in the 700 block of Tanglewood Drive in Fernley at 7:53 a.m.

• Commercial burglary in the 1700 block of Highway 50A in Fernley at 8:21 a.m.

• A narcotics report in the 300 block of Dayton Valley Road at 8:51 a.m.

• Accident at Highway 95A and Fir Street in Silver Springs at 9:20 a.m.

• Accident at Main and South streets in Yerington at 10:55 a.m.

• Neighborhood dispute on Desert Creek Road in Smith Valley.

• Hit and run in the post office parking lot in Silver Springs at 4:02 p.m.

Storey County

Deputies responded to the following calls Tuesday:

• Possible squatters at "Ed Murphy's old residence," at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday.

• A woman reported at 11:08 a.m. she needed to go to the hospital.

• A caller from Union Street reported at 2:54 p.m. seeing "a black horse across the street from a paddock of brown horses, and she can see every bone in its body." She said the only thing she saw for food was a few bushes and she didn't see any water.

• A vehicle "lost an axle just about to Seven-Mile (Canyon)," on State Route 341 at 3:29 p.m.

• Bottle rockets were being shot off from a house on the corner of Territory and Julie.

• Lightning strikes took out power on the east side of C Street at 11:28 p.m. Power was restored.

• Flames were visible on Toll Road in the Virginia City Highlands at 11:56 p.m. It was extinguished.

• A transformer in front of home on B Street was on fire at 12:44 a.m. It was extinguished.
