Crime Report

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Steven Heroux, 35, an E-3 in the military, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor violation of a stalking order. Bail was set at $2,500.

• Jonathan Tripp, 32, a shipping and receiving clerk from Carson City, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Sherman Lane on a Reno Justice Court felony warrant for suspicion of failure to appear on a drug charge. No bail was set.

• A 44-year-old salesman from Dayton was arrested at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday at Winnie Lane and Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.

• Jose Angel Garcia, 22, a engineering assistant from Carson City, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Monday on Kelly Drive on suspicion of felony probation violation, misdemeanor failure to comply and domestic battery. No bail was set.

• Laura Brzostowski, 27, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of three felony counts of passing forged checks and three felony counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. Bail was set at $75,000.

n Deputies responded to the following calls:

• A 2-year-old in a diaper was reported missing at 12:47 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Goshute Way. Six deputies were called in to respond. At 12:53 p.m., the child was found hiding under a bed.

• An elderly man apparently suffering from dementia was located Monday at 1:11 p.m. near a John Street day-care center trying to break vehicle windows. The man was taken to the hospital.

• A report of two juveniles fighting, surrounded by "a gang of children," at Seeliger Elementary on Monday at 5:12 p.m.

• Items were missing from a home in the 2000 block of Bourgogne Street at 7:18 p.m. Monday.

• A stereo was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Roland Street on Tuesday at 8:25 a.m.

• A witness spotted someone tagging a business in the 500 block of Fairview Drive at 2:46 a.m. The suspect was described as wearing a black hat, shirt and jeans.

• A man was injured in the parking lot of a South Carson Street casino at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle was intentionally rammed by another. The suspect fled the scene.

Lyon County

Deputies responded to the following calls Monday:

• A motor vehicle accident on Highway 50 East in Mark Twain at 7:23 a.m.

• A misdemeanor arrest was made when deputies responded to 600 Surprise Street in Yerington on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

• A narcotics report in the 2200 block of East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 8:54 p.m.

• A vehicle repossession in the 2200 block of Highway 50 East in Dayton at 10:44 p.m.

• Vandalism at the Burger Hut in Fernley at 10:53 a.m.

• A vehicle burglary in the 2300 block of East Newlands Drive at 12:58 p.m.

• Fire on McKenzie Lane in Mason Valley at 1:20 a.m.

• A domestic dispute on Interstate 80, between exits, in Fernley at 4:51 p.m.

• A car accident in the 1400 block of East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 5:11 p.m.

• A car accident on Interstate 80 at Mile Marker 71 at 5:24 p.m.

• A domestic dispute on Green Acres Lane in Mason Valley at 6:44 p.m.

• Destruction of property in the 600 block of Empire Road at 6:52 p.m. in Mark Twain.

• A felony arrest at 8:19 p.m. on Highway 50 East at the top of Stagecoach hill.

• A brush fire on Fort Churchill Road in Silver Springs at 9:25 p.m.

Storey County

Deputies responded to the following calls Monday:

• A suspicious vehicle at a construction site on Waltham Way at 12:01 a.m.

• A vehicle stop on State Route 341 at 5:12 a.m. The driver received a warning about his driving habits.

• A vehicle stop at Mustang and Peri Ranch roads. No action was taken.

• A person was seen going down into a pit near the Fourth Ward School at 8:26 a.m.

• Sierra Stone Quarry notified dispatch they'd be blasting about 11:30 a.m.

• A loose dog at 12:21 p.m. in the 400 block of Canyon Way.

• A golden retriever was reported missing from North C Street at 6:38 p.m.

• Illegal dumping into a RV park's dumpster was reported at 6:45 p.m.
