The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 37-year-old corrections officer from Carson City was arrested at 7:13 a.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, hit and run and failure to report an accident. Bail was set at $2,396.

• Michael Keith Pierson, 40, a construction worker from Carson City, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. Bail was set at $2,907. Also arrested was his brother, Gregory Allen Pierson, 34, a construction worker from Carson City, on a felony warrant out of California and on suspicion of providing false identification to avoid prosecution. No bail was set.

• James Eric Vikse, 39, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony forgery and three misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear on a traffic citations. His bail was set at $11,195. Also arrested was Robin Marie Jensen, 30, of Dayton, on suspicion of forgery. Her bail was set at $10,000.

n The following are some of the calls deputies responded to:

• Another motorist spotted what she believed was a drunken driver at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday and followed the other vehicle for several blocks until deputies could stop it. A woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

• A window at Empire Elementary School appeared to have been shot out at 7:32 a.m. Thursday.

• A salon owner asked a deputy to stand by while a stylist removed her belongings from the premises at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls deputies responded to Wednesday:

• A vehicle burglary report in the 1000 block of Donner Trail in Silver Springs at 5:48 a.m.

• A burglary report in the 5200 block of Tamarack Avenue in Silver Springs at 7:53 a.m.

• An accident in the 200 block of Rosecrest Drive in Fernley at 8:59 a.m.

• A protection order violation report in the 10000 block of Highway 50 in Mound House at 9:28 a.m.

• Vandalism report at the Dayton Library at 10:02 a.m.

• Residential burglary report in the 200 block of Lois Lane in Fernley at 10:15 a.m.

• An accident on Aiazzi Lane in Mason Valley at 12:28 p.m.

• Drunken-driving arrest in the 500 block of Truck Inn Way in Fernley at 4:47 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls deputies responded to Wednesday:

• A quarry worker reported at 11:45 a.m. seeing hunters with shotguns in the area of Canyon Way in Lockwood. He asked a deputy to inform the hunters it is a no-hunting area. Deputies were unable to locate the hunters.

• A man was seen filling a five-gallon bucket with sand at a Nevada Department of Transportation pit at 1:16 p.m.

• Deputies escorted an 18-wheeler with a load of lumber to a hotel job site on E Street at 2:31 p.m.

• A caller at 4:12 p.m. said a tractor-trailer was stuck on a bridge near the Tracy Clark power plant. The caller was concerned it could be terrorist related. The truck was off the bridge by the time deputies arrived.

• A caller reported at 5:14 p.m. finding a springer spaniel running down Long Valley Road. The caller had the dog at her house if anyone called looking for it.

• A verbal warning was given to a driver for mechanical problems at 6:35 p.m. on Six Mile Canyon Road.

• A verbal warning for speeding was given to driver on Six Mile Canyon Road at 7:33 p.m.

• A man reported at 8:44 p.m. a known person stole his .22 cal. handgun.

• A verbal warning for speed was issued at 10:27 p.m. on Six Mile Canyon Road.
