Soroptimist of Dayton will hold a holiday gift boutique from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Dayton Community Center. More than 20 home show vendors, including Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Arbonne and Cookie Lee, will be there. A bonus is the availability of personal shoppers, where women can make up their wish lists in the mornings so their husbands may come in later and use the personal-shopper assistants.
The event will benefit the Soroptimist scholarship program, the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center, Soroptimist crisis fund and more.

Flu shots at Dayton Pro center Nov. 17
Carson-Tahoe Hospital is donating 100 flu shots to Friends in Service Helping. "We are encouraging the indigent population to go to FISH to receive their flu shot," says Terry Long, RN, Carson Tahoe Employee Health Manager.
Carson-Tahoe Hospital is also providing flu shots to the general public noon-4 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Dayton Professional Building. Shots are $20 each. Carson Tahoe will bill Medicare, so bring your Medicare card with you. For information, call 886-7402.
