Dayton girls soccer beats Yerington

The Dayton High girls soccer team maintained a hold of second place in the Northern 3A with a 5-0 win over Yerington on Thursday.

Ashley Winter had two goals and an assist to help lead Dayton (10-5-1, 7-3). Winter assisted on a goal by Amy Gardner and also scored off of an assist from Carol Thiesing.

Sara Elissa scored on an assist from Natasha Olivera and Leah Kennedy also scored for the Dust Devils. Stephanie Shoup had four saves and Sarah Langley made two saves to combine to post the shutout.
