A funeral for William Ernest Sanders, 74, a Gardnerville resident for the past three years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Sanders died Oct. 8, 2005 at his home.
He was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Chula Vista, Calif.
He married Kathryn Sanders on Jan. 15, 1957, in Eureka, Calif. Prior to living in Gardnerville he resided in Big Pine, Calif.
Mr. Sanders received a degree in forestry from Humboldt State University. He was battalion chief for the California Department of Forestry.
Mr. Sanders served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Berean Bible Church.
Among his survivors are his wife; sons Jeffrey Sanders of Hesperia, Calif., and John Sanders of Gardnerville.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
