Marjorie Sayan

A funeral for Marjorie Sayan, 89, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel in Carson City.

Mrs. Sayan died Oct. 11, 2005, in Carson City. She was born May 12, 1916, in Salt Lake City to James A. and Viola Berg Muir.

She married Mack Sayan in December 1935 in Los Angeles. She graduated from Hamilton High School in California in 1935.

Mrs. Sayan was a beautician and housewife. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Third Ward in Carson City. She was the last surviving Mormon of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993 and her daughter Marjorie Lyanne in 1972.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Myron and Susan Sayan of Washoe Valley and Dennis and Penny Sayan of Naples, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery in Carson City.
