Frances G. Barrett

A funeral for Frances G. Barrett, 86, a Carson City resident for the past 26 years, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, C Hill building.

Mrs. Barrett died Oct. 10, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 11, 1919, at Port Suquamish, Wash., to Frank Ross and Anna Jeannette Allen.

Mrs. Barrett was the former owner of a beauty salon in Alhambra, Calif. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clear Creek Ward.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Barrett, whom she married May 27, 1938, in Los Angeles.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Shirley Lee Janda, of Carson City; son, Stephen Lee Barrett, of San Dimas; brother, Ed Hyland, of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
