Frieda May Middleton, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 19 years, died Oct. 5, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Turtle River, Minn., to Erick and Gertrude Osborn Schultze.
She married Joe T. Middleton on June 16, 1971, in Monte Rio, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Live Oak, Calif.
She was a high school graduate.
Mrs. Middleton was an artist and a homemaker.
She served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister Lucille Mitchell and brother Larry Schultze.
Among her survivors are her daughter Laura A. Dean; stepson Glenn Hair; stepdaughter Kathleen Van Dyck; sister Connie Dobbins of Lakeport, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to St. Mary's Hospice.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
