LaNora Clyde elected as new OSA president

The Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA) of Carson City has elected LaNora Clyde as its president for 2006.

The announcement of her election was made at the club's annual banquet held last Saturday night.

It was also announced that newly-elected Jerry Dyke, John Evans and Mike Fettic will join President Clyde on the OSA board of directors.

That end-of-the-year banquet was attended by a crowd of 160 people, including Andy Gotelli, age 96, the oldest living member of the club.

Norm Budden was a 4-way winner in the "Big Fish Contest," with the largest cutthroat, brown, rainbow and walleye. LaNora Clyde was the winner in the Mackinaw category.

The evening's auction were highlighted by a winning bid of $375 for an over-and-under shotgun.

Lisa Wonder won the "Skins" drawing, worth $100.

Dave Perondi was drawn as the winner of the special year-long raffle for an ARGO ATV.

The next OSA function will be it first meeting of the new year on Jan. 17 at the Carson Nugget.
