Roy Alfred Hatcher Jr., 60, a Gardnerville resident, died Nov. 23, 2005, in Gardnerville. He was born March 26, 1945, in Alton, Ill., to Roy Sr. and Ann Marie Brown Hatcher.
He received a bachelor of arts degree in engineering and was a licensed abstractor.
Mr. Hatcher was self-employed and did custom woodworking. He was assistant chief of the volunteer fire department. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Among his survivors are his sister, Becky Chester and brothers Bill and Clinton.
A day of celebration is planned for the spring.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
