Anne T. Emerson

A private graveside service for Anne T. Emerson, 86, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be at noon Wednesday in the Masonic Memorial Gardens in Reno with military honors.

Mrs. Emerson died Nov. 20, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Maywood, Calif., to Alex J. Tolmasoff and Pauline R. Tomasoff.

She attended high school in Maywood.

She married Raymond Emerson Aug. 14, 1948, in Arizona.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Stateline for 26 years and Downey, Calif., for more than 28 years.

Mrs. Emerson was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastern Star Lodge 160 in Downey.

She served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; six brothers and two sisters.

Among her survivors are daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Art Oelsner of Acampo, Calif.; sons Steven of Vallejo, Calif., and Stanley, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
