A celebration of life for Larry G. Hickman, 55, a Minden resident for the past 26 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hilltop Community Church, 3616 N. Sunridge Drive.
Mr. Hickman died Nov. 13, 2005. He was born Jan. 22, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, to DeVere and Hattie Hickman.
Mr. Hickman worked at the San Diego Post Office while he attended the University of San Diego, graduating with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in accounting.
He moved to Minden to work for the Gaming Control Board. After becoming a CPA in 1986, he went to work for the Department of Business and Industry where he worked in the Financial Institutions Division, retiring in 2004 as deputy commissioner. At the time of his death, he was a vice president of The Bank Holdings.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman second class.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother De.
Among his survivors are his wife of 30 years, Rebecca "Becky," sons Daniel, Joshua and Zachary and extended family and friends.
