David Lee

A memorial service for David Lee, 74, a Nixon resident, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nixon Episcopal Church.

Mr. Lee died March 21, 2005, in Carson City.

He was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Nixon, to Billy and Gussie Dunn Lee.

He attended Stewart Indian School.

He lived in Nixon and Reno.

He married Ruth Tobey of Reno.

Mr. Lee worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was an amateur boxer while in the U.S. Army, and upon his discharge, he turned professional. He was an Episcopalian.

He served in the U.S. Army for two years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Lawrence R. Williams; brothers Larry Williams and Adrian Williams; and his wife, who died after giving birth to a baby boy, who also died days after birth.

Among his survivors are his sister, Verna Plympton of Nixon; brothers Stanley Williams of Sutcliffe and Tex Williams of Nixon; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended-family members.

Cremation will be at Walton's Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
