Heather Matthew had an excellent outing on the mound to lead the Fernley softball team to a 6-1 win over Dayton on Tuesday.
Bailey Garcia, Lauren Fisher and Caty Cross all had one hit for Dayton. Nicole Greer pitched well in defeat for the Dust Devils, allowing six hits while striking out five and walking one.
