Douglas High graduate Shawn Estes and Carson High graduate Dusty Bergman both saw action on Friday in Major League Baseball Spring Training games.
Estes, a 1991 Douglas graduate, was the losing pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks in a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies. Estes allowed four runs on six hits through the first five innings.
Bergman, a 1996 CHS graduate, struck out the only batter he faced for the Los Angeles Angels in a 5-3 win over the Kansas City Royals.
