Barbara Ball Weir

A service for Barbara Ball Weir, 74, a Mesquite resident, will be at 10 a.m. April 2 at the Mesquite Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Weir died March 11, 2005. She was born July 2, 1930, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Margaret and Rufus Ball.

Before moving to Mesquite, she lived in Carson City for several years.

Mrs. Weir was employed by Sierra Pacific Power in Carson City for many years. She was active in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands Carlyle B. Sorenson and Philip R. Ullom and brothers Charles Ball and Larry Ball.

Among her survivors are husband, William Weir; children Sharon Johnson, Carla McClayn, Russel and wife, Robyn Sorenson, David and wife Michelle Sorenson and Fred and Arlene Weir; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
