Freeman leads youth ice hockey team

Nine-year-old Dominik Freeman of Carson City led the Desert Dogs squirt ice hockey team over the weekend as it went 1-1 against the Vacaville North Stars in Reno.


Freeman had five goals and two assists in a 13-7 win over Vacaville. In the other game, Freeman had one gold and one assist in a 5-3 loss to Vacaville.


The Desert Dogs will play Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 in Vacaville, Calif. The team consists of 9-10-year-olds from Carson City, Reno, Truckee and Portola, Calif.
