Lila Lee DeMond, 65, a 26-year resident of Carson City, died June 22, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Whittier, Calif., to Leroy Keithly and Mildred Kirk.
She married William DeMond March 1, 1963, in Reseda, Calif. Prior to living in Carson City she resided in Canoga Park, Calif.
Mrs. DeMond worked as a legal secretary for the Nevada Public Defenders' Office for 16 years.
She enjoyed time with her friends, camping and gold mining.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son Jason of Carson City; daughter Michelle Saxberg of Reno; mother of Palmdale, Calif.; two sisters; a brother; and grandchildren Danielle and Bridgette Saxberg of Reno.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City.
A memorial fund has been set up with Bank of America.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
