Progress -or lack thereof- on the Ormsby House

A reader asked to start a new discussion topic, concerning the still-uncompleted Ormsby House.

"Right now, my big frustration is the Ormsby house - they have had the sidewalks on Carson Street, 5th Street and Curry Street blocked for almost two years (well, maybe not that long - but a REALLY long time!) A telephone call to the City Hall never got me anyone who knew who gave them permission to close Curry Street. And, I was told it was the Nevada Highway Department that had control on 5th and on Carson. I called them and they said, basically, tough - walk on the other side of the street!"

I've been wonders some of the same things myself. Please chime in.
