Carson City detectives are investigating the death of a 1-month-old girl who died in her parents' bed sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning at 5:30 a.m.
Detective Dave Legros said deputies were called to the unnamed family's apartment in the 1600 block of Brown Street after the parents awoke to find their newborn daughter deceased and bleeding from the mouth and nose.
Detective Cate Summers said the baby had a pre-existing medical condition that may have contributed to her death.
