A memorial for Frances E. Sands, 84, an eight-year Carson City resident, will at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. The Rev. Rick Hallam will officiate.
Mrs. Sands died June 30, 2005, at home.
She was born May 29, 1921, in Texas to Hattie B. Johnson and John P. Seabourn.
Mrs. Sands was very active in the Telephone Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Franklin Sands; son, Ronald Sands; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila and son-in-law Charles Nesmith of Carson City; sisters Velma Culbertson of Texas and Oleta Hindman of Illinois; and four grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
