You may be a little weary of hearing about benefit shows to aid the victims of the tsunami in South Asia. But you can bet you're not as weary as those who are still living amid desolation, with no homes, no work and not much of a future. The scenes of beachfront desolation, of towns reduced to little more than rubble, of lost children homeless and parentless are all too familiar to the world.

So drop in on Comma Coffee - 312 S. Carson St. - Saturday for a marathon of live music, which is always better than canned stuff. Twenty bands will be rockin' and boppin' away to raise money for AmeriCares for Tsunami Victim Relief in South Asia.

The music starts at 10 a.m. featuring an early-rising group, with Seth Andrews rocking away at 10:30. From there on, it's every band for itself, on and on until midnight. Pick your own musical mode; there'll be an eclectic variety of musical styles, including jazz, rock, Celtic, acoustic, bluegrass, maybe even a little gospel - who knows when the urge kicks in.

As usual with special concerts, Comma will serve beer and wine, plus breakfast and lunch until closing. And coffee, of course.

A $17 donation is requested. All proceeds will go to AmeriCares at www.americares.org.

Gp tp www.commacoffee.com for details or call 883-2662 for a schedule of which band is due when. Being musicians, that'll be a guide, but once the music begins, who knows when it will stop?
