A Dayton man received minor injuries Wednesday in a rollover accident on Lakeview Hill, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Rubin Lupena was taken to Carson-Tahoe Hospital after the 1:30 p.m. accident in the southbound lane.

Trooper Nick Nordyke said Lupena was either trying to switch into the slow lane and overcorrected because he saw a car there, or he was cut off. Lupena's vehicle rolled onto its hood, then slid several hundred feet before stopping.

He was suspended upside-down by his seat belt and appeared uninjured, Nordyke said.

"Someone will be cited, we just don't know who it's going to be," said Trooper Todd Hartline. The roadway was clear despite a recent snowstorm that dumped 18 inches in the valley.

"I think this was more driver inattention than anything else," Hartline said.
