-- The Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada in Carson City has been closed due to weather. Parents are asked to pick up their children as soon as possible. Call the club at 882-8820.

-- Wells Fargo announces that their locations in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Truckee, Incline Village, Zephyr Cove and South Lake Tahoe will close at 4 p.m. today due to weather.

-- The Saturday and Sunday perfomances of "Macbeth" at the Carson City Community Center have been cancelled. Performances will be a regular times Jan. 15 and 16.

-- Gov. Kenny Guinn has OK'd the request of NHP Col. David Hosmer to send all non-essential state employees home.

-- All weekend high school sporting events in Carson City and Reno have been cancelled due to weather.

-- The Carson City Library will close at 3 p.m. today and will remain closed Saturday due to weather.

-- Western Nevada Community College campuses closed at noon.

-- Chains are required for all commercial traffic on Highway 395 through Washoe Valley. Snow tires or chains are required on all passenger vehicles. This restriction includes all of 395 south to the state line.

-- Carson City School District schools are open. But it is OK if children are kept home.

-- Storey County Schools are closed.

-- The Carson City Aquatic Facility will be closeing at 2 p.m. today. Call the pool this weekend at 887-2242 to check status.
