Funeral services for Carwin T. Stanley, 87, a two-year resident of Yerington, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.
Mr. Stanley died Feb. 16, 2005, in Reno. He was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Ardmore, Okla., to Columbus T. and Effie Stanley.
Before coming to Yerington Mr. Stanley lived in Westminster, Calif.
He married Idabelle Fredericks Sept. 22, 1962, in Las Vegas.
Mr. Stanley served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He had a 12th-grade education and worked as plasterer. He belonged to the Westminster Christian Center.
Among his survivors are his wife of Yerington; children Linda Jolly of Bellingham, Wash., Judy Gerbershagen of Orange, Calif., Debbie Bailey of Bellingham; Tom Stanley of Tehachapi, Calif., and RoseAnn Stanley of Yerington; brothers Darwin and Vernon both of California and Gerald of Colorado; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
