A memorial service will be held for Joshua Raymond Farler, 20, of Yerington, at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Yerington Intermediate School Gym, 114 Pearl St. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. today at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home.
Mr. Farler died Dec. 26, 2005, in Reno, of testicular cancer.
He was born July 27, 1985, in Bakersfield, Calif., to James and Brenda Farler.
He graduated from Yerington High School in 2003, and attended Boise State's Electrical Line Worker Technical School for one year. He moved back to Yerington after being diagnosed with cancer.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, football and baseball.
Among his survivors are his parents; brother, Matthew of Las Vegas; grandmothers Carrie Farler of Bakersfield and Nan Sayre of Yerington; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
