Crimes

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 39-year-old tree service worker from Carson City was arrested at 4:26 a.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.

• A 23-year-old student from Carson City was arrested at 8:37 p.m. Saturday at Woodside and Airport roads on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to stop at a stop sign. Bail was set at $1,239.

• Robert Michael Hernandez, 19, of Carson City, was arrested at 6:28 p.m. Saturday at Hot Springs Road and Roop Street on suspicion of felony carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor minor gambling and obstructing a peace officer. Hernandez was being questioned by police officers about a dispute involving a weapon in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road when he allegedly ran. Sheriff's deputies Tased Hernandez to detain him, and found a .22-caliber semi-automatic on his person. Eduardo Rojas-Acosto, 23, of Carson City, was arrested at the same time for suspicion of felony possession of a fake ID, misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer and criminal contempt. Bail for Hernandez was set at $8,564, and Rojas-Acosto's bail was set at $8,520.

• Stephen Wade Mettert, 41, of Carson City, was arrested at 11 a.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Mina Way on suspicion of felony burglary and possession of stolen property. Mettert allegedly stole four whole New York strip steaks, valued at $562.89, from a local grocery, where he works. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Mindy Jean Frontino, 22, of Gardnerville, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East William Street on suspicion of felony obtaining money under false pretenses and misdemeanor uttering a forged instrument. Frontino allegedly stole a checkbook then attempted to cash a check made out to herself in the amount of $400. Bail was set at $25,000.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• A domestic dispute at Fernley Elementary School at 1:10 a.m. Saturday.

• A drunken driver on Pike Street in Dayton at 2:11 a.m. Saturday.

• A report of a fight at a bar in the 1300 block of East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 2:27 a.m. Saturday.

• A a drunken driver in the 1300 block of West Newlands Drive in Fernley at 4:24 a.m. Saturday.

• A drunken driver at Highway 50 East and Flowery Drive in Dayton at 6:18 a.m. Saturday.

• A motor vehicle accident with injury in the 4500 block of Quince Avenue in Silver Springs at 11:44 a.m. Saturday.

• A coroner call in the 5000 block of Abilene Drive in Stagecoach at 1:19 p.m. Saturday.

• An arson report on McClellan Peak Road in Mound House at 2:42 p.m. Saturday.

• A motor vehicle accident with property damage on Monte Cristo Drive in Dayton at 2:56 p.m. Saturday.

• A motor vehicle accident with property damage in the 300 block of Highway 339 in Mason Valley at 6:27 p.m. Saturday.

• A domestic dispute in the 300 block of Dayton Valley Road in Dayton Valley at 6:56 p.m. Saturday.

• A report of shots fired on Pebble Drive in Dayton Valley at 10:44 p.m. Saturday.

• Mailboxes knocked over in the 800 block of Lafond Avenue in Dayton at 5:35 a.m. Saturday.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• A traffic accident at Mill and C streets in Virginia City at 5:50 p.m. Friday.
