If you can read this, then apparently the web server is back working again.
It has been down off and on since yesterday, which has been quite frustrating for everyone. Our web service provider is the same company that supplies our online publishing system, which handles nearly all of the company's websites. The last word from them is this outage is affecting all their customers, and they are working on fixing it.
Gee, why doesn't that make me feel better? It's hard to have to wait for someone else to fix something that is so important to what you do.
Some of our operations, such as our classified ads, story comments and reader registration, work on a different server that we host ourself. While this server is working normally, you may see some error messages because of the way it works with the main web server.
My only advice is to have patience. And if you have any to spare, please send it my way.
