James C. Brennan

A funeral Mass for James C. Brennan, 62, a Jacks Valley resident for the past three years, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Little Chapel at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mr. Brennan died Jan. 8, 2004, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to James and Nora Nolan Brennan.

He graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in business.

Before moving to Jacks Valley, he lived in Glendale, Calif.

He married Maureen Guest Oct. 15, 1966.

Mr. Brennan had a 36-year career with Wausau Insurance, earned his CPCU, ARM and ATM designations and finished his career as Division Bond Manager. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and established and coached the AYSO girls soccer program. After retiring to Carson City, he regularly played and marshaled at Eagle Valley Golf Course. He was a Catholic.

Among his survivors are his wife, of Carson City; daughters Jennifer Brennan Tate of San Francisco, Kathleen Brennan Hunter of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Nora Brennan Clapsaddle of De Kalb, Ill.; sisters Mary Parsons of Ayshire, Iowa, Maureen Kadous of Spencer, Iowa, Jeanette Jorgenson of Boone, Iowa, and Nora Hedges of Ames, Iowa; and brother, Tom of Ames.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada, 3264 Goni Road, Carson City, NV 89706.
