ANDREW FIRE TIMELINE

12:40 p.m. fire reported

1:50 p.m. Structures threatened on Willmonte.

2:30 p.m. Highway 395 closed

2:45 p.m. NDOT asks work crews on Mount Rose Highway to stop work to clear road for traffic for detour. Fire reaches Toll Road, outbuilding lost. Structures on Ravazza threatened.

3:20 p.m. Fire visible from Highway 395.

3:40 p.m. Residents living south of Hot Springs Road ordered to evacuate.

4:15 p.m. Residents living in the Scorpion Springs subdivision ordered to evacuate. Toll Road residents told to be ready to evacuate. Galena High School set up as the evacuation center.

4:10 p.m. Cause of fire confirmed as spark from target shooting.

5:10 p.m. Bowers Mansion park closed for use as fire center.

5:35 p.m. Air attack reported at 21 aircraft.

5:45 p.m. Highway 395 reopens. Second evacuation center opened at Virginia City High School.

7 p.m. Geiger Grade open to through traffic with escorts.

8:11 p.m. Aircraft still flying.
