SMITH VALLEY - Lyon County police have identified a 15-year-old Douglas County girl who was killed in an accident Sunday.
Sarah Rovsek died from blunt force trauma suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident at the Wilson Canyon Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Park near Smith Valley, said Lyon County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Fletcher.
According to the preliminary investigation, Rovsek was riding an ATV up a steep ridge about 1p.m. when the vehicle rolled onto her. She died at the scene, Fletcher said.
