A memorial service for Carolyn L. Welsh, 73, a Carson City resident for the past six years, will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith, 833 N. Edmonds Drive.
Mrs. Welsh died Oct. 4, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
She was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Los Angeles, to Edward and Evelyn Gregg Melching.
She married James Welsh Oct. 7, 1949, in Van Nuys, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Incline Village.
Mrs. Welsh enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, entertaining and dancing.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son, David of Broomfield, Colo.; daughter, Jan Deady of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters Gloria Gerhardt of Napa, Calif. and Linda Parkinson of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
