Suspects named in Sunday motel robbery

Carson City Sheriff's Deputies have named two suspects they are seeking in the Sunday night robbery of a Carson Street motel. The pair match descriptions of thieves wanted for robberies in Reno and Sparks as well, said Sgt. Bob White.

They are Susan Butts and Lesmen Sanchez, both of Carson City.

"I have warrants for them," White said.

The pair is suspected of pointing a gun at the clerk of the Carson City Inn at 11:30 p.m. Sunday and demanding money. They left with $1,200.

Initial reports described a masked man and a blonde female, according to Sheriff Kenny Furlong.

It was the fourth theft to occur at the motel at 1930 N. Carson St., but an employee said it was the first armed robbery.

White listed the woman's two black eyes as one of the details identifying the suspects.

"She looked like she had been in a fight," he said.

Butts is described as a 28-year-old white female, 5-foot, 9-inches tall weighing 130 pounds.

Sanchez is described as a 28-year-old Hispanic male, 5-foot, 8-inches tall weighing 150 pounds.
