Carla L. Hallgren, 73, a Carson City resident for the past three years, died July 9, 2003, at Mountain View Care Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Iowa to Earl and Mabel O. Werner Fry.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Rocklin, Calif., moving from Incline Village.
Mrs. Hallgren was a certified nursing assistant. She enjoyed golfing and homemaking.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, DJ Hallgren, in August 1999.
Among her survivors are her stepfather, Ed Vincent of Louisiana; son, Douglas of Phoenix; daughters Connie Boynton of Carson City and Karin Stevens of Silver City; sister, Donna Haveman of Louisiana; granddaughters Stacey Burton and Ashley Boynton, both of Carson City; and great-granddaughter, Lillian Rose of Carson City.
No service will be held.
