Carson wildlife board

The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in filling that vacancy.

The vacancy has a term of office that will expire in July 2004.

The Board of Supervisors will appoint a qualified person to that wildlife advisory board,

who is a resident of Carson City and who is:

1. A sportsman; or

2. Engaged in ranching or farming in the county.

The CCABMW represents sportsmen of the City and County of Carson City and that board serves as the liaison between local sportsmen and the Nevada Division of Wildlife and the Nevada State Board of Wildlife Commissioners.

The meetings of that board vary in numbers during the year, but there are usually 4-5.

Those meetings coincide with the setting of seasons and bag limits for fishing, big game, upland game and waterfowl.

They are held at the City Hall Conference Room at 201 N. Carson St. in the early evenings.

Volunteers may obtain application forms from the Carson City Executive Offices at 201 N. Carson St.

Applications must be received by no later than July 30, 2003.

All applications will be considered as public information.
