A memorial service for Buelah Idelle Batchelder Plummer, 94, a longtime Yerington resident, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home with Pastor George Ryan of the Mason Valley Southern Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Plummer died Jan. 27, 2003, at the South Lyon Medical Center Long Term Care in Yerington. She was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Bishop, Calif., to Andrew and Leota Powers VanFleet. She moved with her family to Mason Valley in 1923 where she attended Yerington High School.
She was married to George O. Batchelder, a Yerington native, from 1924 until his death in 1972. The couple worked together at various jobs, notably for several years at the Nevada State Children's Home in Carson City and later operating a small ranch in Fernley.
She was married to Marvin L. Plummer, also a Yerington native, from 1981 until his death in 1991.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia James, in 1998 and great-granddaughter, Carol Conrad.
Among her survivors are: son, Jack Batchelder of Graeagle, Calif.; grandchildren Janet James-Conrad of Yerington, Robert James and Ellen James-Boren of Las Vegas, Greg Batchelder of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Melissa 2 of Reno; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery.
