Obituary: Troy E. Brown

A funeral for Troy E. Brown, 82, a Wellington resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minden.

Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the LDS church.

Mr. Brown died Dec. 30, 2002, at his home. He was born March 30, 1920, in Gore, Okla., to John Henry and Minnie Rosetta Stacey Brown.

He married Ida R. Warren July 6, 1940, in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Before moving to Wellington, he lived in Spring Valley, Calif.

Mr. Brown worked as the chief of maintenance at Rohr Industries in Chula Vista, Calif. for 22 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Among his survivors are daughters Rosella L. Miller of Topaz Ranch and Helen C. McMahon of Phoenix; brother and sister-in-law William "Bill" and Bee Brown of Topaz Ranch; brother James. L. Mahon of Iowa; sister Louise Hernandez of Hemet, Calif.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Smith Valley Cemetery in Smith Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada, 1155 W. Fourth St., No. 224, Reno, NV 89503.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
