The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) will hold its third annual national convention in Reno, Friday through Sunday.
It will be headquartered at the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino.
That three-day MDF convention will include a full slate of seminars from experts including:
Chad Schearer, who holds the title of 1997 World Elk Calling Champion for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Pro Division. He will speak on Hunting and Calling Trophy Mule Deer and also Trophy Mule Deer Strategies With a Bow.
Among the special raffle and auction prizes are:
A 7-day packhorse trip for two in the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park.
A five-day rifle or archery mule deer hunt in New Mexico.
Three days lodging/two days of steelhead and salmon fishing near Clearwater, Idaho.
A five-day Sitka Blacktail Deer hunting trip on Kodiak Island, Alaska.
An autographed football from Chicago Bears All-Star Linebacker Brian Urlacher.
An autographed baseball from Tim Salmon of the Anaheim Angels.
A Nevada Heritage Mule Deer tag.
A Colorado Mule Deer tag.
Other highlights include the new and exciting Trophy Deer Display, sponsored by Eastman's Hunting Journal, featuring some of the largest deer ever taken in North America.
General admission is $10 for adults on Friday and Saturday and $8 on Saturday. Children (12 and under) are $4.
