Richard Dean Allison

A memorial service for Richard Dean Allison, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 34 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in the small chapel.

Mr. Allison died Dec. 22, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Michigan City, Ind., to Charles B. and Ola M. Williams Allison.

He received a bachelor's of arts degree from the University of San Francisco. Mr. Allison worked at Lift Engineering before retiring in 1994.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-45 and from 1951-53 on the USS Bushnell during the Korean War.

Among his survivors are his wife, Diane of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law, Richard B. and Rhonda of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Pat Seehvetter of Truckee; granddaughter Carley Allison of Carson City; and grandsons Tyler and Sean Seehvetter of Truckee.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
