Carson City

The following people were sentenced in District Court on Oct. 28 and 29:

-- Eric Moberg, 50, of Bend, Ore., was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to embezzlement. He must pay $89,681 in restitution and work 40 hours of community service.

-- Alvin Americo Bresciani, 46, of Reno, was sentenced to 24 to 60 months in Nevada State Prison after pleading guilty to theft of a vehicle.

-- Robert Ernest Jacobsen, 47, of Carson City, was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to forged/false/altered prescription for a controlled substance.

-- Timothy Coffman, 24, a transient, was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to failure to appear after admission to bail.

-- Eric Kendall Hanks, 39, of Carson City, was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to open and gross lewdness. The original charge of possession of visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a person under the age of 16 was dismissed.

-- John Henry Winters, 38, of Carson City, was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to embezzlement He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $8,000 and perform 40 hours community service.
