A memorial service for Carl L. Hansen, 89, a Gardnerville resident for the past 18 years, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Hansen died March 25, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born March 17, 1913, in Petaluma, Calif., to Samuel and Mabel Peterson Hansen.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Torrance, Calif., from 1952-84 and Visalia, Calif., from 1919-52.
Mr. Hansen retired from Southern California Gas Co. at age 59 after 30 years of service. He was a Lutheran.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Carleen Bebee in July 1978.
Among her survivors are his wife, Barbara of Gardnerville; daughter Vicki Sanchez of Big Bear Lake, Calif.; grandchildren Steve Bebee of Fullerton, Calif., Carleen Prahm of Hawaii, Ernest Sanchez of San Pedro, Calif., and great-grandchildren Megan and Sara Bebee and Camilla and Nina Sanchez.
Inurnment will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
