A memorial service for Dennis R. Meister, 63, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church. Mr. Meister died June 3, 2002, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wis.
He was a member of Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church.
Among his survivors are his wife Velma of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Denise and Maj. Brendan Piehl, U.S. Air Force; son Marcus of Carson City; granddaughter Sarah E. Piehl; mother Dorothy J. Meister of Downey, Calif.; sister Marilyn Siecke of Yorba Linda, Calif., and nephews Ron Siecke of Orange, Calif., and Neil Siecke of San Diego.
A private graveside service will be at Northern Nevada Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
