Kit Carson Pass is located on California S.R. 88, about 42 miles south of Carson City.
The 5-6 mile roundtrip trek, which is rated as a degree of difficulty of "Intermediate" will begin at 10 a.m. at the Kit Carson Pass parking area.
A Sno-Park permit is required for parking.
Participants are requested to provide their own cross country ski equipment, wear layered clothing for variable weather conditions and bring a lunch and drinks.
