A memorial service for Verlyn Loyal Gilbert, 87, a Dayton resident, will be today at 7 p.m. at the Capital Baptist Church, 4555 South Edmonds Drive in Carson City.
Mr. Gilbert died at his home on Feb. 22, 2002.
He was born to Loyal R. Gilbert and Della L. Dunbar in Earlham, Iowa, Feb. 2, 1915.
Among his survivors are daughters Deanna French of Crawford, Colo. and Judy Anderson of South Dakota and son Gary Gilbert of Des Moines, Iowa.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
