William Barr, 95, a Carson City resident for the past 23 years, died April 2, 2002, at his home. He was born March 15, 1907, in Glasgow, Scotland, to William and Mary.
He married Margaret July 6, 1940, in Glasgow.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Oakland, Calif.
Mr. Barr was a retired steel erector and plumber.
Among his survivors are his wife, Margaret; children Elizabeth Webster of Carson City and Barbara Carroll of Brookings, Ore.; grandchildren Andrew Kirkpatrick of Oakland, Calif., Karen Wendell, Alex Kirkpatrick and David Post, all of Carson City and John Kirkpatrick of Oakland and great-grandchildren Michael, Chris and Ben and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be at Walton's Funeral Home.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
