Carson volleyball rolls to win

The Carson High volleyball kept taking care of business in preparation for its showdown with Douglas High.


Carson defeated Spanish Springs 15-0, 15-6, 15-2 on Tuesday. The Senators (6-2) will host Douglas on Thursday.


"We played pretty well," Carson coach Daryl James said. "We took care of business."


Rachel DeRiemer had nine kills, Teri Niederer had five kills, Megan Anderson had three kills and four aces, Shannon Devereaux had three kills and three acesand Kaitlin Brush, Colleen Doyle and Rosalia Nunez all had two kills. Tabitha Adams set up the attack with 26 assists.


"Douglas is good," James said. "We know it. Douglas knows it. Everybody knows it.


"Hopefully it will be a good match. These are the matches that make you better. You need to take care of business in the other matches."
