Obituary - Howard Willis Pressley

A graveside services for Howard Willis Pressley, 90, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery a memorial service will follow at First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Pressley died Sept. 21, 2001. He was born Aug. 23, 1911 in Howell County, Mo., to Harrison Pressley and Nora Huff.

He lived in Carson City for 31 years. He was a retired motel owner and was active in the Gems and Minerals Club at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.

He was also a member of the American Legion, and the Elks Lodge of Carson City. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was a Presbyterian.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Carson City; his step-sons Matt Cantwell and his wife, Lorraine, of Stagecoach and Mark Cantwell and his wife, Cindy, of Prescott Ariz.; two grandchildren and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Gems and Minerals Club at the senior center, 911 E. Beverly, Carson City, Nev. 89702.
