Obituary -- Robert James Case

A memorial service for Robert James Case, 81, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Case died Sept. 14, 2001, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born June 20, 1920, in Calgary, Canada, to Adelhert E. and Grace Case.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Mission Hills, Calif., for 28 years, coming from Reseda, Calif.

Mr. Case, considered an excellent salesman, began his career at Slocum/Mayflower Van and Storage in Van Nuys, Calif. He later worked for Branick Manufacturing Co. in Fargo, N.D., for 21 years and he worked as a stockbroker with William R. Staats & Co.

He was a member of the Rotary, Elks and the Masonic Lodge in both Carson City and Reseda. He was also a member of the Nevada Republican Central Committee and the First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills and Carson City.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Among his survivors are his son Philip Alan of Catheys Valley, Calif.; daughter Robin Diane Teltoe of Granada Hills, Calif.; loving companion Joyce Payne; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson City Elks Children's Fund, Lodge 2177 or to the Masonic Lodge in Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
